Q. What is the impact of deforestation on our environment ?

A. Deforestation is one of the causes of many problems facing the world such as extiction of plant and animal species and the increase of atmospheric carbon dioaide, deforestation also contributes to the decresing oxygen. Deforestation is the clearence of naturally occuring forets by the process of naturally occuring forests by the process of logging and/or burnning of the trees. Deforestation is an ongoing issue that also contributes climate change conditions, desertification and displacement of indigenous people. 5% of deforestation is due to the growing sector of palm oil plantations, and 54% due to the slash and burn method. Tropical deforestation is responsible for about 20% of the worlds total greenhouse gas emissions so if deforestation continues the green house effect will take over.

Our synthesis question is:

Q. Why do you think people are not replanting trees?

A.People are not replanting trees because we do not have enough money, people do not have enough time, people might not be bothered and we might need the land for soomething else.

Our application question:

Q. Illustrate what the world would look like if deforestation was not stopped?

A.If deforestation is not stopped the world would be brown, dusty, empty and with no trees there would be no people because the trees provide oxygen for humans.

Our analysis question:

Q. How is deforestation similar to other uses of resources?

A.deforestation is similar to other issues because...
cars are like machienes and we use machienes to cut down trees in the process of deforestation and deforestation is also simallar to transport because they both release toxic gasses.

Our evaluation question:

Q. Rank deforestation against other environmental issues (give thoughtful reasons) natural use of resources.1=most usstustainable, 5=most sustainable.

A.
(Enviromantal issue)
(Reasons)
Number.
Deforestation
Deforestation includes energy and extinction of animals.
2
Coral bleaching
Coral bleaching is under pressure from a virity on human actions.
5
Farming
farming releses green gas emisions and creates erosion.
3
Energy
There are many types of energy but coal is a carbon polluting and unrenewable form og energy.
4
Rising sea levles
Rising sea level results show the water leavles have rose around 20 CM in the last centry.
